DIG: Colossians 1:15-20

The “Christ Hymn” in Colossians 1 is possibly one of the oldest Christian writings/sayings in existence. Its shows that right from the beginning Jesus was seen as not only a teaching figure, but central to God’s cosmic plan of redemption for the whole world. The particularity of Jesus story no doubt was a way for Colossian Christians to understand themselves as part of God’s movement in the world. How do we see ourselves in the particular?
